So much discussion has been made about the terrorism in the world! So there comes a question in everyone’s mind, what is the root cause of this all? Is this all due to the religion of Islam? Does Islam propagate such teachings and is there anything like terrorism actually working in Islamic teachings and history? Isn’t Islam is a religion of peace?
Absolutely! Islam is the religion of peace in every sense
There are 1.5 billion Muslims in the world. So the majority of the Muslims throughout the world are almost moderate and they practice basic teachings of Islam in their life regularly and they all are against such activities in which the innocents are being killed.
Even at the time of wars, Prophet Muhammad SAW instructed His followers in such a way that was a true reflection of the religion of Islam and that is proof that Islam is the religion of true peace. Islam is so humanly that even the crops of the enemies are asked to protect in the wars. This was one of the teachings of prophet Muhammad SAW.
The followers of Prophet SAW truly followed the teachings of prophet SAW in every sense, there is an address which the first Caliph Abu Bakr (Allah be pleased with him) gave to his army while sending her on the expedition to the Syrian borders is permeated with the noble spirit with which the war in Islam is permitted. He said: ” Stop, O people, that I may give you ten rules for your guidance in the battlefield. Do not commit treachery or deviate from the right path. You must not mutilate dead bodies. Neither kills a child, nor a woman. nor an aged man. Bring no harm to the trees, nor burn them with fire, especially those which are fruitful. Slay not any of the enemy’s flock. save for your food. You are likely to pass by people who have devoted their lives to monastic services; leave them alone”
Such was the teaching of Islam that is proof that Islamic teachings from day one are supportive of peace and against the actions that may prevail loss for the innocents. The Muslims who have surrendered to viciousness are persuaded by legislative issues, not religion.
