What is Anti romantic comedy?

In this post I will discuss about what is  Anti romantic comedy.
An anti-romantic comedy, like a conventional comedy ends with the ringing of the marriage bells, but uncompromisingly criticises the romantic illusions for running ideals and attitudes prevalent in the society. It speaks against unreal ideas and artificiality of treatment. It appeals to reason and wit and not to sentiment and emotion. It is a new kind of drama that satirises irrational and whimsical attitudes of the so-called aristocracy. Unlike Elizabethan comedies, an anti- romantic comedy is sharply critical of established conventions of
sentimental love, marriage, sex, religion and rituals. It also criticises social, political, cultural and moral customs and manners of the aristocratic peoplc of the society. It is, in the real sense, a propaganda drama - a drama of ideas.
